HOWEVER, when I asked my wife, Debbie, about a particular entry, she replied, "I don't read that!" But I am happy to know someone does. Thanks!

Was that Anderson Park....where the parade ended?
Yes. The Derby Days parade started at City Hall, up 162nd to Redmond Way, then east on Redmond Way to Anderson Park. At Anderson Park, there was the food fair, booths, beer garden and music.
Also, the City did not run Derby Days then. It was the Chamber and other civic groups.
